Alfredo Souza 91 of Florida, formerly of New Bedford, passed away August 20, 2012 at the Palm Bay Community hospital. He is survived be his loving wife of 65 years Laura (Costa) Souza. He was the son of the late Antonio and Deolinda (Rocha) Souza. He was born in New Bedford and lived here until moving to Florida several years ago. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Mr. Souza was formerly employed by Giusti Baking and Bunny Bread as a salesman until his retirement. Mr. Souza was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in WW II. Survivors include his wife; his daughters Kathleen Laramie and her husband Kim Laramie of Oak Hill, FL, Christine Miller and her husband Dr. Andrew Miller of Providence, RI, Nancy Sue and her husband Dr. Jeffrey Sue of Honolulu, HI; Theresa Ahlers and her husband Robert Ahlers of East Wallingford, VT; his sisters Florinda “Suzy” Reed of Rochester, MA, Hilda “Pat” Psczscola of East Longmeadow, MA; 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. His funeral mass with his cremated remains present will be said 10:30am Friday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Visiting hours are Thursday 4-6pm. Burial with full military honors will be in the Veterans National cemetery in Bourne, MA. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the charity of ones’ choice
