Alice Martins

Alice (Rodrigues) Martins passed away Friday, April 14, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospital. Born in Vidago, Portugal, the daughter of the late Alpoim Rodrigues and the late Maria (Teixeira) Rodrigues and wife of the late Manuel Martins. Alice came to the United States in 1963. She was the long time owner of the Porto Imports Shop on Acushnet Ave. Alice could be found volunteering at Hathaway Manor or outside on walks. She had a great love of all things nature, especially the birds. She was a generous and loving person, who cherished time spent with her family. Alice is survived by her daughter, Maria Quann; grandchildren, Elizabeth Quann-Babineau, Eric Quann and his wife Lana, Joana Amaral-Cueves, Olga Amaral; great grandchildren, Dallas Babineau, Sophia Babineau, Martim Amaral, Carter Amaral-Cueves, Alani Amaral-Cueves, many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter Manuela Martins, her brother, Alpoim Rodrigues Jr. and her sister, Aurora Serodio.

In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated with a Funeral Mass to be held at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on Saturday, May 6th at 11am.
