Alice Rodrick

Alice (Rodrigues) Rodrick 86, formerly of the Tabor Mill Apartments, passed away Thursday June 10, 2010 at the Oak’s, with her loving family at her side. She was the widow of Arthur Rodrick and the daughter of the late Joseph V. and Alice (Picanso) Rodrigues. She was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Mrs. Roderick was formerly employed as a stitcher at Calvin Clothing until her retirement. She was an animal lover, loved being with her children and grandchildren and had volunteered at St. Mary’s school. Survivors include her son Arthur Rodrick Jr. and his wife Susan of New Bedford, her daughter Madeline “Maddie” Paiva and her husband Stephen of New Bedford; her grandchildren Lauryn Paiva, Erin Paiva, Curtis Rodrick  and Warren Rodrick, Her brothers Clement Rodriques and his wife Beverly of Lakeville, Alfred Rodrigues and his wife Marcella of New Bedford, Julio Rodrigues and his wife Rita of New Bedford, Roy Rodrigues and his wife Lydia of Wareham, Edward Rodriques and his wife Mary of New Bedford; her sisters Laura Souza and her husband George of Acushnet, Rosalia Rodriques of Fairhaven, Mary Marchant of Fairhaven, Beatrice Silva and her husband Eduardo of Plymouth; many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph Rodrigues Jr., Luiz Rodriques, Antonio Rodriques and Margarita Coutinho. Her funeral mass will be 9am Monday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Visitation will be Sunday 4-8pm.  Burial will be in Pine Grove cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the South Coast Humane Society 31 Ventura Drive Dartmouth, MA. 02747.
