Almorinda M Silva

Almorinda M. Silva, 90, passed away peacefully at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center on September 3, 2023. She was born on May 15, 1933, in Portugal, to the late Jose Vieira Paulino and the late Inez Mello Leite.

She was a devoted wife to the late Joao V. Silva and a loving mother to Joao M. Silva and his wife Angelina of Canada, Jose Eduardo Silva and his wife Elizabeth of New Bedford, and Filomena M. Cumming of Florida. Almorinda's dedication to her family extended beyond her immediate relatives. She cherished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Almorinda is predeceased by eight caring brothers and sisters; Zulmira Costa, Ines Mendonca, Jose Viera, Avelina Leite, John Viera, Hermano Viera, Maria Jose Lemos and Casemiro Viera. She leaves behind three more loving siblings; a brother; Evaristo Vieira and two sisters; Clotilde Daniel and Filomena Tavares.

A Visitation will be held at Boulevard Funeral Home located at 223 Ashley Blvd in New Bedford from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM on September 13th. A Mass will follow at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church at 9:30am. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.

Almorinda will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
