Amadeu Medeiros

Amadeu G. Medeiros 62 passed away at home on Monday December 20, 2010. He was the husband of Maria (Mendes) Medeiros and son of Ana (Goncalves) Medeiros and the late Jose Maria deAraujo. He was born in Portugal and had lived in this area since 1964. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s church in Fairhaven and a member of the St. Mary’s Club. Mr. Medeiros was formerly employed as a driver for Amaral Bus Co. Survivors include his wife; his mother; his sons John Mendes Medeiros of Fairhaven, Jason Mendes Medeiros of CA; his daughters Elizabeth Mendes Medeiros Jones of Wareham, Nazareth M. Rodrigues of New Bedford; his brothers Manuel M. Rodrigo of Fairhaven, Carlos M. Rodrigo of New Bedford, Celio Medeiros of Portugal; his sister Ida Cardoso of New Bedford; his grandchildren Shawna-Marie Medeiros Jones, Savannah-Lee Medeiros Jones, Joey Pinheiro Medeiros and Valerie Elisa Medeiros. His funeral mass will be said 10am Thursday at St. Mary’s church in Fairhaven. Visiting hours are Wednesday 5-9pm.Entombment will be at Riverside cemetery in Fairhaven.
