Amelia Jacob

Amelia M. Santana (Nunes) Jacob 69 of New Bedford passed away Sunday July 30, 2017 at home. She was the wife of Amadeu M. Jacob and daughter of the late Luis and Maria (Santana) Nunes. She was born in Ilhavo, Portugal and had lived in New Bedford for many years. Amelia was a member of the Assemblia Pentecostal Church in New Bedford. She was formerly employed as a stitcher at Joseph Abboud. Survivors include her husband, her daughter Marcia Alexandra McGowan of Tiverton, RI. Her brothers Luis M. Nunes and Alexandre M. Nunes both of New Bedford, her grandchildren Isaiah and Kate McGowan, also several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held 8am Wednesday at the Assemblia Pentecostal Church 215 Sawyer St. New Bedford. Visiting hours are omitted. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
