Fairhaven Ana (Roda) Vaz 87, passed away after a period of declining health surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Alden Court Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of Anibal Vaz and the daughter of the late Domingos and Lucinda (DeJesus) Roda. Ana was born in Cervos, Portugal and came to this country with her husband in 1960. She worked as stitcher for various companies throughout her life. Ana always loved Sunday gatherings where she would spend time with family. Her pride and joy were her granddaughters and her great grandson. She is survived by her husband, her daughter Nancy DiFelice and husband John of Acushnet; brothers, Antonio Roda of Milford and Zefino Roda of Milford; granddaughters Monica Adams and husband Phillip of Acushnet, Lauren Trujillo and husband David of Blackstone; great grandson Phillip John Adams; and many nieces, nephews and good friends. She is predeceased by brothers Americo Roda, Alfred Roda, Mario Roda, and Domingos Roda; and sisters Hilda Roda-Peixoto and Mary Carreiro. A Funeral Mass will be said Thursday, September 12th at 9AM at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church with burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7pm.
