Anthony Furtado

Anthony "Tony" A. Furtado, 55, of New Bedford passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at St. Luke's. He was born in St. Michael, Azores and was the son of the late Manuel and Ilda (Machado) Furtado. He worked as an asphalt laborer and was a dedicated employee to T.L. Edwards for 25 years. Survivors include his son, Tyler Furtado, his daughter, Cassandra Vidal, sisters; Sally Correia and Maria Victoria, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Joe Furtado. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9 am on Friday September 3rd, at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. A visiting hour will also be held Friday morning from 7:30 am until 8:30 am at the Boulevard Funeral Home, 223 Ashley Blvd. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. All attendees are required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
