Antonio Fernandes

Antonio C. Fernandes 81 of New Bedford passed away at his home on Friday November 6, 2015. He was the husband of Adalina (Martins) Fernandes of Portugal and son of the late Benjamin Fernandes and Isaura Correia. He was born in  Povoa, Cernache Do Bomjardim, Portugal and had lived in New Bedford for many years. He was formerly employed as a body techncian at Jack's Auto Body until his retirement. He was a former member of the Portuguese American Athletic Club. Survivors include his wife, his sons Abilio Fernandes of New Bedford, Victor Fernandes of Portugal, Armindo Fernandes of Georgia, Carlos Fernandes of New Bedford; his daughters Linda Cambra of New Bedford and Tina Tetrault od Dartmouth; his brothers Abilio Fernandes of New Bedford and Augusto Fernandes of New Bedford; 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. He is also survived several nieces and nephews. At the request of his family he will be cremated.
