Antonio Monteiro

Antonio Monteiro 57 of New Bedford passed away Monday June 2, 2014 at the Sacred Heart Home. He was the son of the late Jose and Carminda (DaFonte) Monteiro. He was born in Cervos, Portugal and had lived in New Bedford for many years. Mr. Monteiro was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. He was also a member of the Clube Recordacoes de Portugal. Survivors include his brothers Armando Monteiro of VA, Fred Monteiro of New Bedford, Jose Monteiro of New Bedford; 3 nieces and nephews. His funeral mass will be said Thursday at 9am at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Visiting hours are Wednesday 6-8pm.Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
