Arlene Batista

Arlene (Parker) Batista 78 of Acushnet, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Leonard and Amelia (Souza) Parker. She was born in New Bedford and had lived in this area all of her life. Arlene was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in New Bedford. Survivors include her grandchildren Danny Burgess and his wife Jamie of Acushnet, Robert Burgess of New York and Ailey Ferreira of New Bedford. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Daniel Burgess and Brooke Burgess. Her funeral mass will be celebrated 10am, Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at St. Mary’s Church in New Bedford. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
