Arthur Almeida

Arthur S. Almeida 74 of New Bedford passed away August 16, 2017 at home. He was the husband of Teresa (Andrade) Almeida. Arthur was born in Setubal, Portugal and had lived in New Bedford since 1974. He was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church. He was employed as a design engineer for various companies, most recently at AFC and General Dynamics in CT. Survivors include his wife; his son Fernando Luis Almeida of New Bedford, his daughter Maria Isabel Almeida of New Bedford, his sister Maria Florinda Almeida Mondin of Portugal and his grandsons, Aaron Justin Almeida and Jason Kasap Jr. A funeral Mass with his cremated remains present will be said 10 am Monday August 28, 2017 at St. Julie Billiart Church. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours are kindly omitted.
