Arthur Mello Jr.

Arthur P. Mello Jr. 79 of Acushnet passed away Wednesday April 9, 2014 at Tobey Hospital. He was the husband of Sally (Bryda) Mello and son of the late Arthur P. and Deneiges (Goulet) Mello Sr. He was born in New Bedford and had lived in this area all of his life. He was formerly employed as a driver/salesman for Coyne Textile and Laundry Services until his retirement. Mr. Mello served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife; his daughter Tracy Johansen of Acushnet; his grandchildren Andrew Johansen and Allison Johansen; his brother David Mello of Kansas; his sister Lorraine Dutra of Nevada. He was the brother of the late Normand Mello. A memorial mass will be said at a later date. His burial is private.
