Belarmina Braga

Belarmina (Xavier) Braga 84 of New Bedford passed away Friday July 11, 2014 at Brandon Woods of New Bedford. She was the widow of Alfredo Braga and daughter of the late Adelino and Nora (Correia) Xavier. She was born in Nordeste, St. Michael, Azores and had lived in New Bedford for 46 years. Mrs. Braga was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Survivors include her sons Alfredo Braga of St. Michael, Antonio Braga of New Bedford; her daughters Natalia Pereira of New Bedford , Ana Camara of Rochester, MA; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Her funeral mass will be said  11am Monday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Visiting hours are Sunday 5-8pm. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
