Carlos Carreiro

Carlos E. Carreiro 51 of New Bedford passed away suddenly on Saturday December 7, 2013. He was the son of Maria E. (Martins) Carreiro of New Bedford and the late Eduardo M. Carreiro. He was born in St. Michael, Azores and had lived in New Bedford for 38 years. Mr. Carreiro was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. He was formerly employed by Phoenix Tanning and Leather as a machine operator. Carlos was a member of the St. Michael club. Survivors include his mother, his brothers Virginio M. Carreiro, Rogerio F. Carreiro, Edward J. Carreiro, Rui M. Carreiro, Robert Carreiro all of New Bedford, Marco P. Carreiro of Portugal; his sisters Anna Cesar, Margarida Ferreira and Nazare Carreiro all of New Bedford; many nieces and nephews. His funeral mass will be said 9am Thursday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church.
