Carlos Souza

Carlos Souza 94 of New Bedford, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021, at the Alden Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the son of the late Cesar and Mary (Vasconcellos) Souza. Carlos was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. He was formerly employed as a machinist at Continental Screw Co. until his retirement. Carlos served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Survivors include several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. He was the brother of the late Cesar Souza Jr., Victor Souza, Mario Souza, Aldora Sowienski, Hilda Souza and Cidalia Martin. He was the longtime companion of the late Lourdes Rego. His visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, December 14, from 4-6pm, at the Boulevard Funeral Home, 223 Ashley Blvd. His funeral mass will be celebrated 9am on Wednesday, December 15, at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church.
