Caroline Correia

Caroline (Soares) Correia 99 of Fairhaven, formerly of New Bedford, passed away Thursday January 8, 2015 at Our Lady’s Haven. She was the wife of the late Frank E. Correia and daughter of the late Emmanuel and Maria (Fernandes) Soares. She was born and raised in New Bedford. She loved being with her family, helping raise her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, cooking and crocheting. Survivors include her daughter Carol St. Laurent and her husband Tyler Walker of Mashpee; her grandchildren Lisa St. Laurent and her husband Bruce Pawelczyk of Mattapoisett, Robert D. St. Laurent of Acushnet; her Godchild Daniel Alves also many nieces and nephews. She was the last of all of her brothers and sisters. Caroline’s family would like to thank the 2nd floor staff at Our Lady’s Haven for their dedicated care of her these past 11 years. Her funeral mass will be said 10am Tuesday at St. John Neumann Church in Lakeville. Visiting hours are Monday 3-7pm.Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
