Charles Martin

Charles W. Martin 82 of New Bedford passed away Friday January 24, 2020 At the Tremont Rehab and Skilled Care Center in Wareham. He was the companion of Marie Velardo, for 26 years, and son of the late Charles Louis Martin and the late Helen (Gillis) Martin. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and had lived in the New Bedford area for many years. He was employed as a salesman for Cape Quality Seafood until his retirement. Charles was a United States veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a former member of the 6th Bristol Club. He is survived by his companion, a daughter, 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Donald Martin of Martha’s Vineyard and several nieces and nephews. In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held in the spring.
