Connie (Conception) Marujo

“ Connie” (Conception) (Mendes) Marujo 78 of New Bedford passed away Saturday, December 5, at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the widow of Serafim “Feene” V. Marujo and daughter of the late Seraphim and Mary (Mello) Mendes. She was a lifelong New Bedford resident. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Connie was formerly employed as a waitress at M&C Café for 23 years. Survivors include her sons Serafim V. Marujo II and his wife Cleide of Mattapoisett, Jaime S. Marujo and his wife Sandra Sousa-Marujo of Dartmouth. She is also survived by her sister Charlotte Pietraszek of Florida, her grandchildren Isabel, Arianna and Adelaide, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her funeral mass will be said 9am Friday, December 11, at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Visiting hours are Thursday December 10, 5-7pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home 223 Ashley Blvd. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. For directions and guest book please visit www.boulevardfh.com.
