Daniel Santos

New Bedford Daniel Santos 83 of New Bedford passed away Friday July 8 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a brief illness. Daniel was the husband of Barbara (Gamble) Santos and son of the late Antonio and Amalia (Ferreira) Santos. He was a life long resident of New Bedford. He was formerly employed at Woolworth’s where he was the assistant manager for 50 years. Daniel loved sports, The Patriots were his favorite team and he watched ever Red Sox game. The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Desnoyer for 18 years for his kindness and caring. Survivors include is wife; a niece, Teresa Seymour of Port Charlotte, FL. He was brother of the late Antonio Santos, Raoul Santos, Lydia Pimental, Aurora Ferreira, Frances Santos, and Mamie Arruda. His funeral service will be held Tuesday 11am at the Boulevard Funeral Home, 223 Ashley Blvd. New Bedford. Visitation will be Monday evening 6-8pm. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
