Dean Souza

Dean Daniel Souza 85 of South Dartmouth passed away on Friday September 24, 2010 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. He was the son of the late Anthony and Rosalina (Cabral) Souza. He was born in Fairhaven and had lived in the greater New Bedford area all of his life. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s church in South Dartmouth. Mr. Souza was formerly employed as a weaver at the Nashwena Mills until his retirement. He was a WW II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy and obtaining the rank of Seaman 1 ^st class. Survivors include his sons Stephen A. Souza of New Bedford, Lawrence Souza of New Bedford, Mark E. Souza of Dartmouth; a brother David Souza of Fairhaven; 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday 10am at St. Mary’s church in South Dartmouth. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8pm. Burial with military honors will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne
