Delores Aguiar

Delores (Lage) Aguiar 78 of Acushnet passed away Saturday July 12, 2014 after a brief illness at the New Bedford Rehabilitation Hospital. She was the wife of the late Alfred Aguiar, mother of the late James Aguiar and daughter of the late Dionel F. and Anna G. Lage. She was born and raised in New Bedford, attended public schools and graduated from New Bedford High School class of 1954. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Xavier Church. She was formerly employed by Aerovox until she retired at age 62. She enjoyed going to Disney World in Florida with her husband and also going to Foxwoods. Survivors include her brother Fernando Lage and her sister Hilda Laliberte; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Her funeral mass will be said 10 am Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Church. Visiting hours are Monday 5-8pm.Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
