Diane M. Zolnierz, 71, passed away peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital on Saturday, July 27th, 2024. Born in Acushnet, she was the daughter of the late Carol Joseph Zolnierz and the late Viola (Chandonais) Zolnierz. She is survived by her daughter Jayme (Zolnierz) Viveiros and her husband Steven of North Easton; her brother, Dave Zolnierz and his wife Rose of Freetown; her grandson, Ethan Viveiros, her niece Kimberly Zolnierz and nephews, Nick & Zack Zolnierz.
After graduating from Fairhaven High School in 1970, she spent her days working in customer service for local area businesses including Saltmarsh’s, Shaw’s and Delkin Dry Cleaning, meeting so many people along the way. Her life outside of work was spent enjoying the company of friends, whether playing cards or Bingo, sharing a round of drinks or, in her younger days, shooting a mean game of pool against the boys. She had many adventures near and far, was always full of surprises and shared her good humor and spirit with those she encountered on her life’s journey. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her signs of love will forever remain in the hearts of those she has left behind.
In accordance with her family’s wishes, she will be cremated. Services to honor and celebrate the life of Diane Marie Zolnierz will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 9:30am to 11:00am at the Boulevard Funeral Home, 223 Ashley Blvd New Bedford, MA.
A Repast Brunch will be held at 11:30am at Danny's Seafood Bar & Grille at 574 N Front St, New Bedford, MA following the Memorial Service.
