Dolores Nobrega

Dolores (Marujo) Nobrega, 88, of Fairhaven, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 at home. She was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Bento V. Marujo and Felicidade (Vieira) Marujo and wife of the late Jose B. Nobrega. Dolores worked as an Assistant City Clerk for the City of New Bedford for many years before her retirement. She was an angelic and sweet tempered woman who loved to travel with her husband. Dolores took enjoyment from spending quality time with her children and grandchildren and was a member of the St. Joseph's Couples Club. She is survived by her son; David Nobrega and wife, Jennifer of New Bedford; daughter Rose Zolnierz and husband, David of East Freetown; grandchildren, Eric Nobrega, Jennifer Nobrega, Tashena Fannon, Joshua Nobrega, Zachary Zolnierz, Nicholas Zolnierz, and Kimberly Zolneirz; great grandchildren, Kaius Lee Maradik, Rheya Fannon; daughter-in-law Shirley Nobrega; and many nieces and nephews. Dolores is preceded in death by her son, Jose Nobrega; brother, Serafim Marujo; sisters, Felicidade Silva and Matilda Guerra. A thank you goes out the staff of Community VNA of Fairhaven, Johanna Cordeiro and Vernon Nunes for the their kind and compassionate care of Dolores. Her Funeral Mass will be Thursday, February 17th, 2022 at St. Joseph's Church in Fairhaven at 10am, with burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held Wednesday, February 16th, 2022 from 4-7pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home, 223 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford.
