Edward Antonio

Edward Antonio 77 of New Bedford Passed away Friday February 4, 2011 at Alden Court Nursing Care and Rehab. Center. He was the husband of Barbara (Crossman) Antonio and son of the late John and Mary (Alvaios) Antonio. He was born in Hartford, CT and lived in New Bedford for many years. He was formerly employed by Acushnet Co. as a supervisor and co-coordinator until his retirement. Mr. Antonio served in the U.S. Army earning the rank of Corporal. Survivors include his wife; his step-son Daniel Houghton of Florida; his daughters Darlene Trigueiro and Deborah Tillson both of New Bedford. 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a nephew James Fernandes of Lakeville and several nieces and a nephew. In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated. His funeral service will be held 9am Thursday February 17, 2011 at the Veterans section in Rural cemetery.
