Emilia Coelho

Emilia (Figueiredo) Coelho 90 of New Bedford passed away, Thursday July 23, 2020 at Alden Court. She is the wife of Jacinto Coelho and daughter of the late Jose Augusto Figueiredo and the late Eugenia Valente. She was born in Linhares de Beira, Portugal and had lived in this area for many years. Emilia was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. She was formerly employed as a stitcher for Cliftex until her retirement. Survivors include her sons Cesar Coelho and his wife Angela of Acushnet and Jorge Coelho of New Bedford. She is also survived by her grandsons Jeffrey Coelho and his wife Jessica and George Coelho. Her great granddaughters Alyssa, Olivia, Madison and Isabella Coelho. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Arnaldo Valente, Jose Figueiredo, Cesar Figueiredo and Alzira Mimoso. Her funeral mass will be celebrated 9am on Wednesday July 29, at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Visiting hours are Tuesday July 28, from 6-8pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home 223 Ashley Blvd. All attendees are required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing. The attendance at the funeral home and church are limited. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
