Esther Gomes

Esther Gomes 91 of New Bedford passed away Monday August 6, 2012 at the Alden Court Nursing and Rehab Center. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Gomes Pereira and Mary (Alves) Pereira. She was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident. She was formerly employed as a stitcher at Justin Clothing until her retirement. Survivors include her sisters Laurie Rebello, Lucy Pereira, Alice Dias and Clo St. Pierre all of New Bedford; her God children Pamela Vasconcelles, Alice Legarde and Lisa Holmes; also numerous nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held Thursday 10:30am at the Boulevard Funeral Home 223 Ashley Blvd. Visiting hours are Wednesday 4-7pm. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
