Evelyn Reynolds

Evelyn Teixeira Reynolds 74 of New Bedford passed away Saturday January 8, 2011 at St. Luke’s hospital. She was the daughter of Olive (Correia) Teixeira of New Bedford and the late James Teixeira. She was born in New Bedford and was a life long resident. She was formerly employed as a dietary aide at Southeastern Rehab. and as a packer for Purity Services until her retirement. Mrs. Reynolds loved playing the piano and sewing. She also enjoyed being with her friends from the Ottiwell school for their once a month gatherings. She especially loved being with her family and friends. Survivors include her mother; her son Richard Machado Jr. of New Bedford; daughters Michelle Machado Walsh of New Bedford, Sharon Pelletier of Taunton; her brother David P. Teixeira of Weymouth; her sisters Madeline Bettencourt of New Bedford, Joan Alley and Nancy Teixeira of Acushnet, Priscilla Martin of North Dartmouth, Theresa DiPietro of Lakeville; her grandchildren Mary Ann Pelletier Santos of Acushnet, Oscar Monteiro of Taunton and Richard Machado III; many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late James Teixeira and James Teixeira. She was the former wife of Richard Machado and Roland Reynolds. A funeral mass with her cremated remains will be said 9am Friday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Visitation will be Thursday 4-8pm.
