Ezaura "Hazel" Rebello

Ezaura “Hazel” (Jardin) Rebello, passed away at home on September 3rd 2024. She was 99 years old. She was born and lived her entire life in New Bedford, MA. She was married to Manuel Rebello for 60 years. She greatly enjoyed the comfortable feelings of living in her home and having family close by. Holidays were a time to gather with family and enjoy a shared meal. She would tell stories of things that happened many years ago, trying to make everyone laugh. At a young age, one of her friends nicknamed her Hazel. It stuck and many knew her by that name.

Hazel was the daughter of Maria and Joseph Jardin and she had two brothers, Charlie and Joe. She is survived by her brother, Joe Jardin and his wife Georgie; son, Paul Rebello, daughter Nancy Hibbert and husband Dave. She had three grandchildren; Allison and husband Rob, Laura and husband Alex and Melanie and husband John; four great grandchildren; Lucas, Myles, Connor and Owen. She would often ask how the babies were doing. She took great pride in her family and offered praise and encouragement to her children. Her gratitude for family, home and her life were expressed often.

Ezaura’s visitation will be held on Friday, September 6th from 9am to 10am with a Funeral Service to be held at 10 am at the Boulevard Funeral Home, 223 Ashley Blvd New Bedford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
