Frank Pinto

Fall River Frank Pinto 76 of New Bedford passed away Saturday February 26, 2011 at the Crawford Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Elza P. (Madureira) Pinto and son of the late John S. and Leopoldina (Castelo) Pinto. He was a lifelong New Bedford resident. Mr. Pinto was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima church. He was formerly employed by Revere Copper and Brass as a machine operator. He was a member of the Richard F. Howland chapter of the VFW; he was also the president of the Moose Golden Agers. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the National Guard field artillery. He enjoyed traveling and boating. Survivors include his son Frank Pinto and his wife Laurie; his daughters Donna Costa and her husband Steve and Jacqueline Makuch; his sister Irene Narciso and her husband Evaristo all of New Bedford; 4 grandchildren Lauren Costa, Nathan Makuch, Amanda Beauregard and Jessica Rego. His companion Annette Moreau and a niece Natalie LaFrance. His funeral mass will be said Wednesday 10am at Our Lady of Fatima church. Visitation will be Tuesday 4-8pm. Burial will be in St. John’s cemetery
