Georgette Roy

Georgette (Turgeon) Roy 78 of New Bedford passed away on April 14, 2020 at her home. She was the wife of the late Raymond Roy Sr. and daughter of the late Joseph Napoleon “Nappy” Turgeon and the late Lillian (Tardi) Turgeon. Georgette was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church. Georgette was a member, and past president of the “Romeos and Juliette’s”, a member of the St. Anthony’s Women’s Guild and was known as the “kit lady” at St. Anthony’s school. Survivors include her children, Raymond Roy Jr. of Poland; Catherine Herman of Florida, Anne Marie Roderick of Fall River, Roberta Anne Roy of New Bedford and Rochelle Roberta Correia of Mattapoisett. She is also survived by her brother David Turgeon of CT. and 6 grandchildren. Due to the current restrictions on public gatherings, her funeral is private for her immediate family.
