Germana Martins

Germana (Costa) Martins, age 103, died Friday, February 18, 2011 at Royal Nursing Center of Falmouth. She was the wife of the late Jose Luiz Martins and mother of the late Fernando Martins and Juliette Theroux. She is survived by two grandsons, Wayne, husband of Janet Theroux of E. Falmouth and Mark, husband of Laura Theroux of Bear, Delaware. Mrs. Martins is also survived by three great grandchildren: Sheri, Chandra and Shad and four great-great grandchildren: Chanelle, Cyana, Lilah and Sophia. Mrs. Martins was a sister of the late Joaquim De Souza and Secundio Souza. Mrs. Martins was a daughter of the late Maria Alfonso Costa. She was born in Silveira, Montelerge, Portugal and had lived in the New Bedford area most of her life, moving to Falmouth in 2005.Mrs. Martins' funeral will be Saturday with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday from 5 - 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited
