Guilherme M Botelho

Guilherme M. Botelho, 90, of New Bedford passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Sippican Healthcare Center. Born in St. Michael, Azores, Portugal, he was the son of the late Jose Botelho and the late Ermelinda ( Barboza) Botelho. Guilherme was the loving husband to Maria Luisa (Cabral) Botelho. He was a parishioner of the Assembleia Pentecostal Church. Guilherme was a lifelong painter and was proud to be a volunteer firefighter in the Azores before coming the United States. He lived a great life, full with the love of his family. 

Guilherme is survived by his wife, Maria Luisa; son, Ruben Botelho; daughters, Gilda Pimentel, Ermelinda Magalhaes, Sara Macedo and Luisa Barboza; brother, Jose Botelho; 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his siblings; Manuel Botelho, Octavio Botelho, Jacinto Botelho, Alda Tavares, Alcinda Sousa and Rosa Cabral. 

A visitation will be held at the Boulevard Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 26 from 8-10am followed by a Funeral Service at Assembleia Pentecostal Church at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
