Henrique Viveiros

Henrique Viveiros 78 of New Bedford, passed away Thursday June 24, 2010, at St. Luke’s hospital, after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Maria (Farias) Viveiros and son of the late Manuel and Maria (Arruda) Viveiros. He was born in St. Michael, Azores and had lived in New Bedford for 44 years. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Mr. Viveiros was a finish carpenter for various companies until his retirement. He was a member of the Whaling City Club. Survivors include his children Henry Viveiros, Manuel Viveiros and Maria Lerias all of New Bedford; his brother Jose Viveiros of Fl; his sisters Virginia Correia of Dartmouth, Inez Furtado of New Bedford, Conceicao Carvalho of New Bedford, Lourdes Arruda of New Bedford; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. His funeral mass will be said 9am Monday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Visitation will be Sunday 4-8pm. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
