Henry Cunha

New Bedford Henry M. Cunha 93 of New Bedford passed away on Monday August 2, 2010 at the New Bedford Healthcare Center. He was the husband of Mary (Ferreira) Cunha and son of the late Antonio Marques Cunha and Maria Isabel (Costa) Cunha. He was a lifelong New Bedford resident. Mr. Cunha was formerly employed at El Vee Dee Fish Company as a lumper until his retirement. He was a WWII U. S. Army veteran earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. Survivors include his wife; his sons Henry M. Cunha Jr. of Van Nuys, CA, Edmund M. Cunha and his longtime companion Doreen Arruda of New Bedford; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and one “little Irish daughter”. His funeral service will be held 10am Friday. Burial will be in Pine Grove cemetery. Visiting hours are kindly omitted
