Huguette Soucy

Huguette (Audette) Soucy 74 of New Bedford passed away Saturday December 27, 2014 at St. Luke’s hospital. She was the daughter of the late Hilaire and Beatrice (Ricard) Audette. She was born in Montreal and had lived in New Bedford for many years. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church. She was formerly employed as a factory worker for Cliftex and various other manufacturing companies until her retirement. She enjoyed being with her family. She also enjoyed bingo, painting and knitting. Huguette always put others before herself. Survivors include her daughters Bernadette Wamboldt of New Bedford, Bernice Blanchette and her husband Marc J. of North Dartmouth, Bernadine Spooner and her husband Kevin  of New Bedford; her brother Albert Audette and his wife Mary of Tiverton; her sister Eva Carreiro of Fall River; her grandchildren Matthew Blanchette, Jessica Spooner, Adam Spooner and Jordan; her son Alfred P. Soucy Jr. of New Bedford; also several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Delia Rose, Roland Audette and Paul Audette. Her funeral mass will be said 9am Saturday January 3, 2015 at St. Anthony of Padua Church. A visiting hour will be held Saturday 7:30-8:30am at the Boulevard Funeral Home 223 Ashley Blvd. Burial will be in Acushnet Cemetery.
