Ilda Quadros

Ilda (Machado) Quadros 57 of New Bedford passed away on Wednesday March 30, 2011 at the Women and Infants hospital in Providence, RI. She was the wife of Manuel Quadros and daughter of the late Luis Machado and Maria Luz Barcelos. She was born in Lajes, Terceira, Azores and had lived in New Bedford since 1976. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua church. Mrs. Quadros was employed as a stitcher at Calvin Clothing and at Brahmin Leather. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed watching her son and grandchildren play soccer. Mrs. Quadros loved watching the Dancas de Carnivale. Survivors include her husband, her son Carlos Quadros; her daughter Paula Pinarreta and her husband Brian all of New Bedford; her brother Jose Eduardo Machado; her sisters Maria Valadao, Maria Teresa Medeiros all of New Bedford , Lucia Erickson of Idaho; grandchildren Alexander, Brandon and Alyssa Pinarreta; many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Francisco Machado. Her funeral mass will be said 9:15am on Saturday at St. Anthony of Padua church. Visiting hours are Friday 5-8pm. Burial will be in Pine Grove cemetery.
