Ines Santos

Ines Santos 93 of New Bedford passed away on Friday, October 22, 2010 at St. Luke's hospital.She was the wife of the late Antonio Carreiro and daughter of the late Manuel Goncalves and Maria Martins. She was born in St. Michael, Azores and had lived in New Bedford since 1969. Mrs. Santos was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Survivors include her sons John Carreiro of Acushnet, Henry Carreiro of New Bedford; her daughters Martha Cabral of New Bedford, Brazelina Torres of New Bedford, Aldina Mendes of New Bedford. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Manuel Carreiro and Antonio Carreiro. Her funeral mass will be said 9am Tuesday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Visitation will be 6-9pm on Monday. Burial will be in St. John's cemetery.
