Isabel Dias

Isabel (Rua) Dias 82 of New Bedford passed away Monday February 18, 2013 at the Royal of Fairhaven. She was the widow of Acacio Dias and daughter of the late Antonio Jose Rua and Angelina Moura Goncalves. She was born in Gralhos, Montelerge, Portugal and had lived in New Bedford since 1970. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Mrs. Dias was formerly employed as a steam presser for various laundries until her retirement. Survivors include her son Abel Dias of New Bedford, her daughters Belmira Tash of Springfield, Teresa Mandeville of New Bedford; her brother Antonio Rua of Ludlow, 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren also many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Acacio Dias of Ludlow. Her funeral mass will be said 10am Saturday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Visiting hours are Friday 5-8pm. Burial will be in Pine Grove cemetery.
