Isabel (Agrela) Negreiro 100 of New Bedford passed away Saturday April 26, 2014 at the Hathaway Manor. She was the wife of the late Joao Negreiro and daughter of the late Manuel and Isabel (Jesus) Agrela. She was born in New Bedford and lived here most of her life. Mrs. Negreiro was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. She was formerly employed as a stitcher at N.B. Manufacturing and States Nightwear until her retirement. Her father, Manuel Agrela, was one of the four founders of the Feast of the Blessed Sacrament. Survivors include her daughters Maria Ouelette of New Bedford, Gertrude Ferreira and her husband Richard of Assonet; her sister Lourdes Mello of New Bedford; her grandchildren Jodie Ferreira of Assonet, Christina Healey and her husband Sean of CT.; a great granddaughter Samantha Isabel Healey; many nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Paul Ouelette and sister of the late Mary Silva, Mary Cunha and Connie Sylvia. Her funeral mass will be said 9am Wednesday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Visiting hours are Tuesday 5-8pm. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
