Izaura Pimentel

Izaura (Soares) Pimentel, 100, of Dartmouth passed away at Alden Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Monday, March 29th. She was born in New Bedford the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria daConceicao (Furtado) Soares and was the wife of the late John Pimentel. Izaura was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Parish. She worked for many years as cafeteria worker for the town of Dartmouth. Survivors include her son, John Pimentel and wife Cindy of Dartmouth; daughter, Elaine Martin and husband Manny of Dartmouth; 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers Joseph Soares, Gilbert Soares, and Edward Soares & her sisters Mary Pimentel, Linda Oliveira, Alice Costa, and Dorothy Pragana. Izaura’s Funeral Mass will be held Monday, April 5th at 11am at St. Julie Billiart Church with burial in St. John’s Cemetery to follow. All are invited to attend the Funeral Mass. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 4th from 5-8pm. All attendees are required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Julie Billiart Church.
