Izaura Rodrigues

Izaura (Lima) Rodrigues, 86, of New Bedford, passed away at home on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025 surrounded by her family. Born in Ponta Delgada, Azores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Antone de Lima and the late Maria de Conceicao (Carvalho) Lima and loving wife to the late Manuel Rodrigues. 

Izaura was a devout catholic and long time communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Coming to the United States in 1969, she worked as a stitcher at Cliftex until her retirement to become a stay at home grandmother. 

She is survived by her sons, Emanuel Rodrigues, Paul Rodrigues and his wife Nancy, Rui Rodrigues and his wife Christina and Robert Rodrigues and his wife Sue; grandchildren, Cody Rodrigues, Noah Rodrigues, Lucas Rodrigues, Tiffany Rodrigues, Monica Rodrigues, Kyleigh Rodrigues and Zakeri Rodrigues; sisters, Leonor Duarte and Lilana Moniz and several nieces, nephews, and godchildren. 

Izaura is preceded in death by her grandson, Cameron Rodrigues; her sister, Ilda Lima and godson, Charles Moniz. 

Her visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5th at the Boulevard Funeral Home from 5-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be said on Thursday March 6th at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church at 10am. Cremation will follow with a burial at a later date.
