Janice Pontes

Janice Pontes 51 of New Bedford passed away at home on Thursday April 29, 2010. She was the companion of Jose Carvalho and daughter of Jeannette (Begin) Pontes, both of New Bedford, and the late John Pontes. She was born in Acushnet and lived in the New Bedford area all of her life. She was employed at Hawthorn Medical in the medical records dept. Survivors include her mother, her companion, her daughter Lisa Pontes of New Bedford; her brother David Pontes of New Bedford; her Godchild Elizabeth Lozano; her best friend Debbie Lozano; also aunts, uncles and cousins. Her funeral mass will be said 9am Monday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Visitation will be Sunday 5-8pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home 223 Ashley Blvd. Burial will be in Pine Grove cemetery.
