John Lucas

John A. Lucas 69 of New Bedford passed away Wednesday July 15, 2015 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the son of Daniel Lucas of New Bedford and the late Anna C. (Raphael) Lucas. He was also the step son of Irene (Magalhaes) Lucas. He was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident. He was formerly employed as a security guard at Mars Barginland. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. John was a longtime volunteer at Habitat for Cats. Survivors include his father and step mother; his brother Daniel Lucas Jr. of Fall River; his “daughter” Tara McConnell of New Bedford; and his step sister Rebecca McKenna of New Bedford.
