John Semiao

John Semiao 90, of South Dartmouth, passed away Friday November 25, 2016 at the Forest View Nursing Facility in Wareham. He was the son of the late Manuel Gomes Semiao and the late Olivia (Tavares) Semiao. He was born in New Bedford and had lived in this area all of his life. John was formerly employed as a machine operator for Alden Corrugated until his retirement. He was also a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during WWII. Survivors include his brothers Antone Semiao of Fairhaven, Ronald Semiao of New Bedford and Lionel Semiao of New Bedford; his sisters Lola Mach of Mattapoisett and  Dolores Gillette of New Bedford. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jack Semiao, Manuel Semiao, Mary Camara and Julia Benton. In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated and his cremains will be buried in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
