Jose Cardoso

Jose Manuel Cardoso 70 of Fairhaven passed away at Vibra Hospital on June 9. He was the husband of the late Dolores (Medeiros) Cardoso and son of the late Augustinho and Julia (Gomes) Cardoso. Jose was born in Alverca, Portugal. He is a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Fairhaven. Jose was employed as a teacher in various New Bedford Public schools. Survivors include his sons Brian Cardoso and wife Suzanne of New Bedford, Alan Cardoso of Fairhaven; Brother, Augusto Cardoso and wife Tamre of Seattle, WA; Sister, Maria Emilia Vicencio and husband Jose of New Bedford; Grandson, Jonah Bear Cardoso and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. His Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, June 14th at St. Mary’s Church in Fairhaven at 10am. Visitation will be Tuesday at the Boulevard Funeral Home from 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made to your favorite charity in Jose’s name. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
