Jose Coelho

Jose V. Coelho 65 of New Bedford, died Saturday October 17, 2009 at St. Luke's hospital after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Acacio and Silvana (Vitorino) Coelho. He was born in Portugal and had lived in New Bedford since 1970. He was a construction worker for the Connecticut Laborers Union until his retirement. He was a member of the Clube Recordacoes de Portugal. Survivors include his son Rui Vilamarim of New Bedford, his daughter Raquel Vilamarim of New Bedford, an aunt Isabel Calvao of Fairhaven and several cousins. His funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday at the funeral home. Visitation will be Tuesday 5-8pm. Burial will be in Pine Grove cemetery.
