Jose A Marques

Jose A Marques, 91, of New Bedford passed away at St. Luke's Hospital on Thursday, November 28th. Born in Mangualde, Portugal, he was the son of the late Armando Marques and the late Mariana (DaCosta) Marques and loving husband to Clementina (Albuquerque) Marques. 

Jose is survived by his wife, Clementina; daughter Maria Chaves and husband Oscar; son George Marques; grandchildren Jason Martins, Melissa Estrella, Stefanie Mecteau, Jessica Roberti, Krystle Marques, Tiffany Marques, George Anthony Marques; great grandchildren Nadia, Ava, Landon, Alivia, Geeana, Skylar, Solomon, Sloan, Carter, Lilly, Kallie, Harrison; brother, Antonio Manuel Marques and sister, Celeste Couto.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Madelyn Couto and grandson Christopher Martins.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 6th from 5-8pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home, 223 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 7, at 10am at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church with burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
