Laurinda "Laurie" Rebello

Laurinda "Laurie" (Pereira) Rebello, 97, of New Bedford, passed away at Alden Court Nursing and Rehab Center on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. Born in New Bedford, she was daughter of the late Joseph Gomes Pereira and the late Maria (Alves) Pereira and wife of the late Luiz Rebello.

Known to her family as Gram, Tia Laurie, Mimi, and Mom, she was truly a woman who had an amazing long life on earth surrounded by the family she loved so much. She loved with her entire soul and all of those people who crossed her path were fortunate. She loved penguins, and making puzzles, playing bingo and solitaire were some of her favorite things to do. Laurinda worked for many years at Justin Clothing before her retirement.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Vasconcelles and her husband, Donald; granddaughter Alyson Fleming and her husband John; great granddaughter, Cayleigh Fleming and several nieces and nephews.

Laurinda is preceded in death by her sisters; Lucy, Clo, Alice, Julie, and Esther.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 18th from 4-7pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home, 223 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford. Her Funeral Services will be Tuesday, December 19th at 10:30am at the Boulevard Funeral Home, all are welcome to join us at 10am. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
