Leonard L Sameiro

Leonard L. Sameiro, 96, 0f Acushnet, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 19, 2024. Born in Fairhaven, he was the son of the late Antone Sameiro and the late Mary Arruda. 

Leonard was the loving husband of Anna (DeSouza) Sameiro, who preceded him in death. He was a hard working laborer in construction, Local 385 for many years. He also proudly served as an Airplane and Engine Mechanic in the United State Army. 

Leonard is survived by his son, Leonard Sameiro and his wife Lucy and his son, David Sameiro and his wife Norma; his daughter Angela Ramos and her husband Jaime; his three grandchildren, Christopher Perry and his wife Traci, Nathan Sameiro and his wife Jennifer, and Aaron Sameiro and his wife Amber, along with his seven great-grandchildren, Justin, Noralyn, Delaney, Haley and Jacob, Amanda and Jessica. 

A Visitation will take place at Boulevard Funeral Home, 223 Ashley Boulevard, New Bedford on the morning of Tuesday, September 24th, from 9:00 - 10:30 am. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am at St. Francis Xavier Paris, 125 Main Street, Acushnet and Burial will follow in Acushnet Cemetery.
